Regional Programs

From ship support group meetings to homecomings, the ASYMCA is there to provide support. Child Minding can even be provided during meetings for a small fee.

  • Family Readiness Group Meetings

    Looking for a place to have your spouses Family Readiness Group Meetings? Look no further...we are here to help! Keep all the spouses informed of the events that will be occurring during the ship's deployment while meeting at a child friendly location and no fee charged to the command for building use.   • Ship Deployments and Homecomings!!

    We know how tough it is to say goodbye and how exciting it is when they return home!! The ASYMCA wants to help you by showing our support!! We can be there for you before they depart and have activities planned pierside for when they return. Call us at 363-1884 to find out how we can serve YOU!!

  • Operation Hero

    After-school mentoring and tutoring for children ages 6-12 who are experiencing temporary difficulties in school faced by many military children (parent deployment, moves, etc.), assisting the child by getting them back on track socially and academically and finding the 'Hero' inside of them.

    The Armed Services YMCA currently has programs for the following schools:

    • Camp Allen Elementary School
    • Birdneck Elementary School
    • Sewells Point Elementary School
  • 2010 Joint Services EFMP Committee Forum and Resource Fair

  • Virtual Food Pantry

    Designed to assist military families who have experienced unforeseen financial difficulties by providing emergency assistance, support and education. Call 363-1884 for referral or appointment information.

    Procedures for utilizing the Virtual Food Pantry
    The following personnel may refer an active duty member/spouse to the Virtual Food Pantry by appointment only.

    • Command CMC or equivalent
    • Command Chaplain
    • Command Ombudsman
    • Navy Marine Corps Relief Society
    • Fleet and Family Support Center
    • Division Supervisor
